TF Comic ‘Ongoing’

Warning: Spoiler’s ahead.

It’s already hit shelves and before that, people have already been talking smack about it and dishing out their hate, while other’s their anticipation for it. 

IDW’s latest addition and obviously adding on to the Transformer’s ‘verses.

Mike Costa is the newest writer for Ongoing, which is a follow up of the aftermath from the previous 16 issue All Hail Megatron comic series. So Editor Andy Schmidt has said, they’re going to be going for a totally new view on this. They’re taking it up a notch further.

“Ultimately, our book is based around a universal theme of ‘transformation‘ and, more importantly, that real change and real transformation must first come from within.” ~ Andy Schmidt

 Despite the controversy already surrounding it, I believe, along with Schmidt, that it’s going to do good. I’ve been waiting for a more mature ‘adulthood’ Transformers. Seeing as it’s just turned 25. Costa said that Transformer’s needs a push in a whole new direction and I can’t help but agree with this. Most of it is due, part of it being the art style, but also that not only is Optimus Prime ‘resining’ as Autobot leader but also, Ironhide dies the the same issue.

Hopefully I’ll get my hands on this issue soon, and give a more detailed imo about it.

Skywarp TFC-3 Set’s

I don’t know what brought this up in someone’s head. . .but its awesome! Though we’re doomed if Skywarp does take over just to let you know.

Includes, cape, shoulder pieces, and crown! And it comes in black and purple rather than red. The crown anyway.

Though, if you do prefer Starscream, as in: you are a fan, they do have a TFC set for Starscream.

It comes with the cape and crown too. Though as you can see, Screamer’s is red rather than black-ish/purple.

TFC-5 – Gear of War 2 LED Set

I have no idea what it is, but I know this; its awesome. And I want them/it.

It includes several guns for Classics style, movie style, and ‘Alternit A-01′ rifle. I’m guessing that last one’s for movie Prime. Anyway. The guns you can fit with all the Prime’s you got, or really to make it look like it’s suppose to to the Prime it should go with. Though, they put up a pic of a Prime. . .whom I don’t recall seeing before. (The one that turns into a car with classic Prime’s head.)

TF Ongoing Issue 1 Spoiler

Well since, All Hail Megatron over, for whatever reason they felt the need to continue with an aftermath. Which takes place two years later after AHM in the ‘not to distant future’ (so the comic says). I have no problem with this except that I haven’t even gotten all of AHM or the Spotlight’s yet dammit. Jesus.

IDW brings in Mike Costa as the writer, and Don Figueroa into the shenanigans. Did I just really type that. I know of Don, and while I not that savvy with comics as some dorks out there. . .I’ve never heard of Mike Costa.

The series hasn’t even hit the stands yet and fans already bitching and raving about the art style for this. Don’s mixing it up the G1-ish style with the Movie style. While I admit it isn’t that pleasent to look at it’s also not horriable. Being the good little fan that I am, I can look past it and just enjoy what they’re feeding us. Some ppl just like to find something to fuss over I guess. I’ll never understand it myself.

Henkei Dark!Skyfire

Which just kinda looks like a Shattered Glass Skyfire but, whatever. That’s imo.

Toy Hobby Japan has put their exclusive of their Gentei Dark Skyfire, which will be up for grabs in a few months. Yes. It’s a repaint. Yes. He’s a Decepticon. How many good!Autobot’s do you see wearing purple?. . .tho~ugh the black does add a nice touch.

They’ll be available for pre-order Nov 12 (today), and is released March 2010. 

My only question. . .is if they’ll release him in the states, too like the rest of the Universe/Classics line?

Superion Add-on Kit “Snowman”

‘Snowman’. . .It’s refering to his color scheme apparently. I guess they’re calling that b/c they want them in before Christmas or whatever so they can ship them out. idk

Basically a repaint of Surperion from Energon just in G1-like color scheme. They’re only giving 500 pieces worldwide, which is tottaly unfair for those who CAN’T get things off the net. Since its only offered through TFsource. Jerks.

And what do they mean ‘only two pieces per customer’? Like, Surperion himself or just two of his five limbs (torso included)? Idk but I’d love to have this thing since I only got one of his body parts first go around (torso). Though, Target has Bruticus. I’d rather have him lol.

NASCAR x-over with Transformers – Optimus vs Megatron

This past Saturday, if you were watching NASCAR you probably saw two cars, 24’s Jeff Gord0n and 39’s Ryan Newman, with their car’s dected out Transformers style. Painted (or probaly stickered idk) on their hoods were Megatron (Gordon) and Optimus Prime (Newman). This took place at the 50th running NASCAR Banking 500 only from Bank of America at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

To the left is Micheal Bay (duh).

Not only where their car’s detailed with Megatron and Optimus Prime so where the pit-crews.

The event was for the soon to be relased Revenge of the Fallen which I’ll be grabbing October 20th. (DVD or Blu-ray)

Motomaster in Tennessee

I always love when someone goes and makes a real life replucation of an Transformer. And while we most commonly see Autobot replucations every once in a while we’ll see a Decepticon one. I’m not much fan of the Decepticon Motormaster (the Stunticon leader) I have to say, the person who redid this truck did a pretty darn good job at it.

And I could have so gone seen him for my self. If I could hitch a ride or something. Tennesse isn’t that far away.

We all know that at some point in time sometimes items or props from our favorite movies or TV shows or other random shows or what knot have a nack for finding them selves in the hands of collectors and fans. . .or both.
